About the author
This website is written by someone with lived experience of OCD who spent many years studying the condition, testing different therapies, and speaking with clinicians and other sufferers. My aim is to explain OCD in a clear, practical, and compassionate way, using both personal experience and psychological understanding.
I created this website because, in my own experience, conventional therapy focused mainly on reducing symptoms. While that helped in the short term, the benefits faded because the deeper causes weren’t addressed. No therapist I saw ever explained that part, so I found myself stuck in a cycle of improving and then relapsing. This site is my attempt to explain the missing half of the picture — the part about deeper causes that helped me understand OCD more fully.
I choose to remain anonymous for privacy reasons, but every page on this site reflects genuine experience, careful research, and a commitment to helping others understand OCD more clearly.
